The coming decade should see a huge expansion of renewable energy systems, in particular

of offshore wind systems. Many risk and reliability related problems for such systems are open and many may still be unarticulated. The ESReDA seminar brings together system operators, manufacturers, insurers, maintainers, government, regulators and university researchers from a variety of relevant disciplines, in order to gain a holistic view of the state of knowledge around wind energy and other renewable systems risk and reliability issues. In addition to considering renewable systems themselves, the scope of the seminar includes the embedding of such systems within the network, and the risk and reliability issues that arise as a consequence.
